Starting Monday, August 2, Kansas City will be reinstating their mask mandate for public indoor spaces within the city. We have been informed by the Loews Hotel where the Central Area Conference will be hosted, that all guests will be required to wear a mask in public indoor spaces of the hotel. This includes areas such as the hotel lobby, elevators, hotel bar, etc. unless a guest is actively consuming food or beverage. For our meeting spaces we are utilizing for the conference, such as the exhibit hall and session rooms in the City Beautiful Ballroom, we are not required to wear masks unless an individual is coming into contact with hotel personnel such as ordering a drink at the bar during a reception. However, AMPP is recommending that you wear a mask when you can, as well as take additional precautions such as washing or sanitizing your hands whenever possible. We recommend you bring a mask with you to the event to have on hand whenever it is needed. We appreciate your help to maintain a safe event and we look forward to seeing you soon.
