Planning is well underway for the 2021 Central Area Conference. Don't miss out on the opportunity to be selected to contribute your knowledge as part of the technical program of this popular event!

The committee is currently soliciting presentations that include real-world case-based corrosion issues, testing, and remediations. They are looking for unusual cathodic protection or corrosion issues that you may have:

The hope is to have as many owner/operators giving the presentations as possible, however, it is understand that consultants are often used for the uncommon and unusual issues. At a minimum, it is asked that there be equal collaboration between the owner/operator and the contractor/vendor.

If interested, please provide your topic, a brief description of the presentation, and a preference of day/time of presentation, if you have any.

Submission guidelines

NACE International will require the following for any approved abstracts:

  • A formal presentation at the event. Presenters may be eligible to receive a discounted price to attend.
  • The length of a standard presentation is 30 minute. If the presentation is longer than 30 minutes, the Technical Chair can extend the length of the Presentation to 60 minutes. A tutorial session will normally take the whole morning or the whole afternoon.
  • A PowerPoint presentation is required with the presentation.
  • Meet all deadlines listed for presentation review
  • Follow all requirements for formatting and content for presentations.
  • Provide a brief biography.
  • All presenters will be required to pay for their registration. However, you will be given a discount off whatever registration category you choose.
