Any individual traveling from an international location into New Orleans will need to check the U.S. Department of State website to verify their specific country VISA requirements: travel.state.gov

Conference Shuttle Service

NACE International is providing shuttle service between the Ernest N. Morial Convention center and selected CORROSION 2017 Hotels (link to Housing page). This service is only available to attendees and exhibitors staying in these hotels.

Transportation will begin on Sunday, March 26, and continue through Thursday March 30. Detailed schedules will be posted in the CORROSION Final Program, as well as the official hotels, and at the convention center.

Corporate Access Lounge

The Corporate Access Lounge offers qualifying Corporate Members a specialized service and an oasis for conducting business while at conference. Here you can: reserve meeting rooms, check e-mail on our computers with internet access, or just sit and relax between meetings.

Diamond Access Lounge

The Diamond Access Lounge will have extended benefits for qualifying Diamond Corporate Members offering additional services.

NACE Store

Expand your Corrosion knowledge through the corrosion-related books, standards, reports, and software sold at the NACE Store. It will be located in Exhibit Hall B of the Convention Center, near Registration.

Professional Development Hours (PDH) Stations

Don’t forget that you can earn PDH by attending: technical meetings, forums, and symposia. All you have to do is printout your personalized PDH Certificates at the PDH station located near Registration in Exhibit Hall B. 

Certificates are based solely on the information you provide NACE at the time of printing. 

Information Kiosks

NACE staff will be available to help you with directions or answer general conference questions. The kiosks will be located at the entrance of the convention center near the shuttle drop-off.

Travel Tips

1. Turn off mobile data to avoid international roaming charges. Stay on Airplane Mode and WiFi, and ask your cell phone provider about
   global capabilities. (Please note: The New Orleans Convention Centre's free Wi-Fi will ask you to re-sign in every 20 minutes.)

2. Download CORROSION’s official mobile app before leaving for New Orleans. It’s available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.   

3. Know your country’s VISA requirements.

4. Don’t forget your passport, and be sure the expiration date is well after the conference. 

5. If you’re a U.S. citizen, bring your valid U.S. driver’s license.

6. Make photocopies of all your travel documents in case of emergency, and leave them with a friend or family member at home.

7. Get the most bang for your buck and stay organized by reviewing the Advance Program or Conference Preview to plan your travel itinerary and schedule for the week at CORROSION in advance.

8. Bring a rain jacket! New Orleans in March can sometimes be rainy.
