Dear Latin American Area Members and Supporters,
We are deeply disappointed to announce that the 2020 LatinCorr Conference must be postponed.
Protecting your health and safety has been our priority as we’ve moved forward with plans this year but based on the current situation in Quito, Ecuador as well as the rest of the Latin American Area, we are concerned that the area will not be in a position to host the event this coming October.
We would like to ensure attendees and exhibitors have the time to change plans and travel arrangements, so we made the difficult decision to announce today that the event has been postponed.
The committee will reconvene in the next few months to determine the path forward for the conference. Once a decision is made we will communicate this to the membership.
In the meantime, we are working on ways to bring our regional corrosion community together whether virtually or in small, socially distant networking groups. We will keep you informed of these opportunities as more information becomes available.
