Plant Tour

8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Lunch and transportation will be provided. Please arrive to the Westin Houston Memorial City hotel by 8:15 a.m. for a prompt departure of 8:30 a.m.

All attendees are invited to participate in a free plant tour of either the Axalta Coating Systems or Tuboscope NOV facilities. When registering please select which facility you choose to tour. Since the tours will be taking place at the same time and at different locations attendees will only be able to select one facility to tour.

Please note that competitors of Axalta Coating Systems and Tuboscope NOV are not allowed on the tours.

Axalta Coating Systems

Axalta Coating Systems welcomes the attendees to tour our Houston facility.  Visitors will explore our state of the art Training and Development Center, learn about our powder coating manufacturing process, and walk through our Quality Assurance, Technical Service and Research and Development Departments. 

Tuboscope NOV (limit 80 attendees)

Tuboscope’s Sheldon North Coating complex includes a powder Model 9000 plant, a liquid Model 12,000 plant and a full-service custom coating shop capable of applying proprietary and industry available internal coating systems to a variety of downhole and surface components. This complex is capable of applying polymeric coating systems to pipe internals from 2 inch to 24 inch in diameter and up to 48 feet in length. Onsite at the Sheldon North Coating complex there is also custom spool fabrication processing and the Zap-Lok™ line pipe connection system generation. Attendees will be able to witness all aspects of the line pipe system processing and preparation prior to field installation.
